ABOUT SAM
Sam Chuck is an award-winning student filmmaker who has worked in film, television, and theatre, and recently graduated from New York University Tisch School of the Arts with a B.F.A in Undergraduate Film and Television Production. He's a director, writer, actor, and editor - but, most importantly, a storyteller and a dreamer.
A native to the stage, he was seen in the 2014 revival of Les Misérables on Broadway and alongside Megan Hilty in Encores! Annie Get Your Gun! at New York City Center. His short film "Short" won Best Student Film in 2022 at the Ridgewood Film Festival, the Count Basie Center Teen + College Film Fest, and the Fentress Film Festival. One of his shorts, "Act II," filmed during his time at New York University, was officially selected at the Los Angeles Independent Film Festival.
He has interned for production companies such as Protozoa Pictures (founded by filmmaker Darren Aronofsky, "Black Swan"), Inner Child Productions (founded by Deborah Liebling, "PEN15"), and Hoff Studios.
Sam's love for telling universal, impactful stories can be seen in all of his projects and films.
